You are worthy!

You are worthy!

Seeing our own, self-worth can be difficult at times.

Do you value other people (make them feel important and useful)?  Are other people worth your time?  I would hope that you have discovered the value and worth of the people around you!  I think it may be easier to see value and worth in others than it is to see it in oneself.

Yes, self-worth can be a tough one for some people.  It could be because they have been repeatedly told they are  worthless, or it could be that they’ve had a long period of non-success, which can allow people to feel worthless.  For some people, they have just been so beat down by life that even the people around them have a hard time trying to help them see the positive hope in their lives.

I am here to tell you, “You have worth, you have value, you are loved and you are worthy of that love!”

Did I just hear you say, “Nobody loves me?”   Have you ever heard Brandi Snyder say, “To the world you may be just one person, but to one person, you may be the world.”  I would bet there is someone in the world who thinks you are the cat’s meow.  It’s usually a pretty good bet it’s your mom – grin.  It could be a child, a friend, co-worker, spouse, anyone really.  Hang out with the person who lifts your spirits.  They think you’re amazing and it’s a good boost for you.  That makes it a win-win situation.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Jesus.  He is the ultimate friend to the lonely, and lover of our souls.

Proverbs 18:24 tells us that, ”One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”  There will probably come a time in your life when you feel that you have no one to turn to.  Turn to Him.  It’s true, He is always with you and will never leave you. (Matthew 28:20).  Think that God doesn’t know who you are?  Hmmm, when discussing the value of a sparrow in the market place Jesus said, “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7)

Oh yes, you have worth, you have value, you are loved and you are worthy of that love!  BELIEVE IT!
