We are His hands and feet
I don’t know about you, but during this time of social distancing and staying home, I am going a little stir-crazy. During a recent Bible study (via teleconference) I recalled a time when I prayer walked for a prayer time at our church. I had three pages of prayer requests with me as I walked around the building and spoke with God. I talking out-loud, I used my typical gestures, I was … well, me (uninhibited by thoughts of other people judging how I prayed). It was exhilarating, and humbling, knowing I was bringing the needs of others before almighty God.Now, more than ever in recent history, we need prayer. I see many social media posts of people saying they are scared, that their anxiety is kicking in, depression is setting in, people are grieving the loss of their “normal” lifestyle, the world is going crazy. There is one thing I know, God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. Psalm 47:8 There are many Bible verses we can turn to in our despair. If you have a Bible, read it. If you don’t, there are many Bible apps. You can even do a simple internet search and you will see many options for positive and encouraging verses about the greatness of our God.While the pictures on this page show the beach (my favorite place), I’m at home, in my neighborhood. I intend to prayer walk often. I need to get out of my house. Walking is boring, but walking and talking with God… that is a wonderful feeling. I would like to draw closer to God, and be an intercessor for the prayers of the many. Please drop me a comment and let me know how I can pray for you. I pray in the name of Jesus, may we all enjoy the peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen.
I have created a FB page for prayer requests… https://www.facebook.com/PamPraying4you/
