Municipal elections are coming soon.

While local elections aren’t as newsworthy of media attention as state and federal elections, they are just as important.

The elections are upcoming and I try very hard not to be politically persuasive. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I won’t force mine on you, and I expect you will offer me the same level of respect.

I will, however say… please VOTE, and vote wisely.

Jim and I attended our local Candidate Forum the other night, and it was very interesting. If you have the chance to meet your candidates for office, I highly recommend it.

If not, you can check out Vote411! It allows you to enter your address, see who will be on your ballot, compare two candidates at a time, and shows where they stand on important issues. Your local Chamber may have a comparison voter guide, too.

Have a good reason to vote for the people you will mark on your ballot, and yes…. Go VOTE!
